Suffolk County Police Department, NY Request

The Suffolk County Police Department in New York state follows a report number format of the year followed by 6 numerical digits (YR######).

1. Please ensure you are entering the correct information in the appropriate field when submitting information on your request.
2. The spelling of the information must be correct in order to ensure the request is processed correctly.


Suffolk County Police Department, NY Report

The Suffolk County PD in NY has a large backlog of requests due to the fact that many auto reports requests are marked as auto accidents when they should be marked as incident reports.

Please choose the appropriate report type from the list next to Auto Reports. There are several options available including: Auto Theft, D.U.I. Report, Registered Vehicle Owner reports and more.

By choosing the correct report type, the process will be streamlined and you will receive your requested report more promptly.


NY HQ DMV

All the New York (NY) Highway Patrol (HP) troop stations will no longer process requests for accident reports. The NY HP troop's stations will now forward all reportable accidents to NY Headquarters (HQ) DMV in Albany, NY.

PLEASE NOTE: The NY HQ DMV must have the name of the driver involved in the accident. This agency cannot search for a NY HP reports by report numbers. You must have the correct spelling of the name of the driver involved. If you do not know the name of the driver involved, please contact the traffic department at the responding troop station in order to obtain this information to help process your report request in a shorter time frame.


OrderPoint Password Tips

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHANGING PASSWORDS:
1. Go to the OrderPoint Login page: www.cporderpoint.com
2. Enter the Adjuster ID.
3. Enter the current password in the Password field.
4. Click the Change Password link (located to the right of the Adjuster ID field).
5. The New Password and Confirm Password fields now display.
6. Enter in the new password in both the New Password and Confirm Password fields.
7. Answer the DPPA agreement and click Login.

NOTE: Please make note of your new password information as it will be required to login in the future.

Password Requirements:
* Must be between 6 and 8 characters
* Must contain at least one alpha and one numeric character
* Must contain only letters of the alphabet and the digits 0 through 9
* New passwords cannot be changed for 3 days.

Adjuster Suspended Notice:

To protect our users, OrderPoint automatically suspends Adjuster IDs that have failed to log in successfully after three attempts. To reactivate your Adjuster ID, contact Technical Support at 1-800-934-9686 and select Option 1.

Forgot Password?

If you have forgotten your password, perform the following steps:

  1. Type your Adjuster ID in the Adjuster ID field.
  2. Click the Forgot Password link.
  3. Type the answer to the security question.
  4. Read the Terms and Conditions listed and select "I Agree" or
    "I Disagree".
  5. Click Login. The system will then display your new password. If this does not resolve the problem, contact Customer Support at 1-800-934-9686 and select Option 1.
