Upon further examination, she found that a moth had become trapped between the points on the computer. The moth was removed and affixed to the log with an entry, "first actual case of a bug being found". A note went out that the computer had been "debugged" and the term is now used routinely. The log can be found today in the Smithsonian Institute. |
